Oliver Stone: JFK (1991)

Film (color, sound) 188 min. USA

"In terms of ambition, construction, and tension there is nothing in contemporary American cinema quite like JFK. With this film, Stone does not so much as rewrite history as create one. Stone does not subscribe to the findings of the Warren Commission, and posits a "countermyth" that he believes is not only plausible, but also an accurate reflection of the ‘spiritual meaning of the [Kennedy] assassination.’"
